Deleting your account

You can delete your Grand Shelem account at any time, from inside the app or by email. Here is exactly what happens when you do.

You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to sign in to read this page.

From inside the app

  1. Open Grand Shelem.
  2. Go to your Profile.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

By email

If you cannot reach the app, because you have lost the device or can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, or tell us your Friend Code.

We will confirm your identity before deleting anything, and we will confirm in writing once it is done.

What gets deleted

Your sign-in identity is removed from our authentication provider first, so a failure part-way through leaves your account intact and retryable rather than half-deleted.

What is kept, and why

Two small records outlive a deleted account. Neither identifies you, and neither can be used to reach your account, but we would rather name them than claim a clean sweep that is not quite true.

Your Friend Code. We keep the code itself, the identifier of the deleted account, and a timestamp. This is what guarantees your Friend Code is retired permanently and can never be handed to a different player. Looking it up returns nothing once the account is gone.

A deletion marker. We keep the identifier of your deleted sign-in identity and a timestamp. Sign-in tokens stay valid for a short window after they are issued, and this marker is what stops an in-flight token from silently recreating an account you just deleted.

Both records contain only an identifier and a date. They hold no name, no email address, no gameplay data, and nothing that can be traced back to you.

Chat and crash reports

In-game chat is never stored, so there is nothing to delete.

Crash reports are held by our error-reporting provider and are not tied to your profile. They expire automatically on a rolling schedule. If you want one removed sooner, email us.
